Communities We Serve

Community is the heart of everything we do. Our primary goal is to create a space where our community can come together, share voice and power, and work together to improve our food system.

Our community is the residents, schools, churches, pantries, community agencies, local businesses, urban growers, and community leaders that make up Southwest Metro Denver. We center and engage with our community through our Community Advisory Board, bi-weekly coalition meetings, and a wide range of community engagement activities.

Community Advisory Board

Our Community Advisory Board is made up of 9 Southwest Denver residents who guide our work and provide evaluation based on their knowledge and experience. The board includes parents, community leaders, educators, volunteers, and non-profit professionals.

Community Engagement and Collaboration

We are a community driven organization. Our community knows what they need better than anyone else. All of our work is designed in partnership with the community. We host focus groups, design sessions, distribute surveys, and utilize participatory budgeting.
